Hud Hud are masters at organising private dinners and parties in the most exquisite locations.
One of the private dinners we hosted this season was setup on an empty cliff face, overlooking the ocean. Guests arrived in time to watch the sun dip behind the mountains and the sky turn a warm pink, before enjoying aperitifs and snacks in a softly lit majlis. A three-course dinner was served metres from the sea-a beautiful medley of flavours and spices, both local and global. After dinner, our astronomer spoke to the guests about the stars which glittered in the night sky, before heading back to Muscat.
We also hosted an ‘under the stars’ themed dinner party. Guest arrived into Bandar Khiran on a sunset cruise from Muscat. Foot baths & towels awaited them on the shore-edge as they stepped off the small fishing boat which brought them to the beach. A pathway lit by lanterns illuminated the walk up to the top of the cliff, where a bar and seating plan awaited them. Canapés-a shot of Thom yum soup- was served with welcome drinks. A medley of sushi starters, spring rolls and skewers were delivered for starters, before a large buffet of Thai inspired fragrant curries and noodles for main course. Afterwards, lemongrass tea was served further up the mountain plateau in our open-aired beach majlis, as the guests lay back under the stars and listened to our astronomer speak about the night sky.
— Dinner in the dunes: We hosted fifty guests in the Wahiba Sands for an evening meal and a night in the desert. Arriving with time to settle in, guests were then driven to the top of the dunes in time to enjoy sundowners and sand boarding before arriving back in camp for hot showers and a large, sumptuous evening dinner.
— We recently helped to plan an engagement in the Empty Quarter desert, on top of the worlds highest dune. The happy couple arrived back to camp for a romantic meal under the stars, surrounded by lanterns and candles.
— A 70-tent campsite and dinner in the Hajar Mountains for a French Oil Company, followed by a day spent swimming, sipping fresh juice served from our pop up juice bar and lounging on sand-moulded sofas on the shores of the Indian Ocean.
— When 260 employees of an Italian Bank came to visit Oman we organised a short adventure for them including a trip across the Selma Plateau and Western Hajar Mountains and a stay in an exclusive Hud Hud camp in the Wahiba Sands.
— We recently hosted a get together for a global association of young chief executives, delivered in association with a renowned mountain hotel. Our chef cooked up an Arabian inspired feast including delicacies such as ‘Crisp Rice with a Biryani Foam’ and ‘Chi Panna Cotta with Baklava Crumb’. At breakfast time guests enjoyed the homemade pomegranate jam and fresh juice cocktails before enjoying various activities including hiking and abseiling and yoga.
